RED 50K – The Ultimate Prokletije Challenge
The RED 50K is the most demanding and prestigious race of the Prokletije Trail event, designed for experienced trail runners seeking a true mountain adventure.
The race starts in the town center of Plav and leads runners towards the breathtaking Hridsko Lake, before continuing deep into the wild and rugged terrain of the Prokletije Mountains, along the border between Montenegro and Kosovo.
This course offers a powerful combination of high alpine trails, remote mountain landscapes, technical sections, and panoramic views that define Prokletije as one of the most dramatic mountain ranges in Europe. After traversing the highlands, the route descends back to the finish line in the center of Plav.
With a total elevation gain of 2,670 meters, RED 50K is a true test of endurance, strength, and mountain skills — a race for those ready to push their limits.
BLUE 29K – Journey to Hridsko Lake
The BLUE 28K is a challenging yet accessible trail race that captures the essence of Prokletije’s natural beauty.
Starting from the center of Plav, the route takes runners on a scenic ascent towards Hridsko Lake, widely regarded as the most beautiful lake in the Prokletije Mountains.
Surrounded by dense forests and dramatic peaks, Hridsko Lake represents the highlight of this race. After reaching the lake, runners return along a different perspective of the trail back to Plav, enjoying varied terrain and constant views of the surrounding mountains.
With a total elevation gain of 1,440 meters, BLUE 28K is ideal for trail runners looking for a serious mountain challenge without the extreme demands of the ultra-distance.
ORANGE 10K – Run Around Plav Lake
The ORANGE 10K is a short and scenic trail race designed for recreational runners, beginners, and nature lovers who want to experience the Prokletije Trail atmosphere in a more relaxed format.
The course runs around the beautiful Plav Lake, offering fast and runnable terrain combined with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the town of Plav. This race is perfect for those new to trail running, as well as for runners who want to enjoy the landscape without extreme elevation or technical difficulty.
